Tribute to Earth Day

All day long I have been thinking about what I could do today to recycle or reuse or reduce.
As I was searching on the internet I found this great idea to make reusable grocery bags.

I came home after work and started with this:

And ended with this:

I am going to save the Earth one plastic bag at a time!

I know...do you?

This past Sunday at church we sang a song entitled "I Know that my Redeemer Lives."

Watch the Mormon Tab. perform it HERE
OR
read the lyrics below
OR
do both (you will feel a sense of peace and gratefulness)

I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
He lives, my ever-living Head.

He lives to bless me with his love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.

He lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with his eye.
He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soul’s complaint.

He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.

He lives, my kind, wise heav’nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, I’ll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.

He lives and grants me daily breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.

He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!”

He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!”

The lyrics send a sweet message of truth.  I am grateful to know that My Redeemer lives and that He loves each one of his children.

My 24th birthday was a HIT!

Well yesterday was my birthday.  Normally I would plan my own little party, but this year I decided to have Alan be in charge. I told him two months prior so I knew that he would have plenty of time to think up a plan and then plan it.  Well my birthday came and nothing really happened all day.  I came home from work and there was nothing at home either.  I waited until Alan came home and he gave me my presents...but they were not even wrapped...BUMMER.  Then I came out to the kitchen and I just got a little emotional.  I know I am horrible, but I was just a little disappointed.
Come to find out I had NO reason to be disappointed... Alan and my mom planned a surprise party for me!
It was perfect and I totally enjoyed my party!
Thank you friends and family for coming and helping celebrate my 24th birthday!
YOU ARE ALL THE BEST...

It was the best way to celebrate turning 24!
THANKS AGAIN!

I love this show!
Haven't seen it yet?
Watch it on E! on Monday nights at 9:00pm!

A NICE SURPRISE!!!!

I LOVE GETTING CALLED DOWN TO THE OFFICE TO RECEIVE A NICE SURPRISE.
THANK YOU HANNAH, ELLIE, ASHLEY, AND NATHAN.

THIS WAS THE GREATEST BIRTHDAY SURPRISE EVER!!!!!

I am 24 years old today....

Well another year has passed.... and now I am 24!!!!

I used to...well I actually still LOVE to make my birthday a HUGE deal.  I think that your birthday is like your own holiday.  I feel that you should be able to sit at home and do whatever your little heart desires on your birthday.  Normally I would be able to sit at home and do whatever I wanted...but I now have a job and responsiblities.... BOO FOR HAVING TO GROW UP!!!  I can not wait to have little ones running around so that I can make their birthdays a big deal!

My mom told me that this is what happens when you get older..... I do not think I want to get older....

Aint no prob, I got a JOB

You better believe it.  Alan will be working with your cheese without a hair net on!  DUN, DUN, DAAAAHHH!  Ha ha, kidding.  Company protocol states that all employees when on the production floor must wear a hair net.  I can't tell you why, that's classified.  STRICTLY need to know.  If I told you I'd have to ... you know what I mean.  No, seriously I got a job with Pace Dairy in Rochester, MN.  It puts the "cite" in excitement.  It all started when i got a call from Kelly's services (whom i had previously applied with) saying there was an opening at Pace.  I accepted and soon, found myself in orientation.  After 5 grueling hours of highly intense, tactical, training.  I felt I was ready.  I took to that Shredded cheese line like it was my own pride and joy.  Suddenly a handsome.... i mean, man came over to me and said "Alan, come with me."  He asks "What did you do before you came here?"  I'm thinking... let the cats out, drove to work?  i don't know.  So i told him my work history.  then he asked if i'm in college.  "yes."  I exclaimed.  "that would explain the phone call," he uttered.  Long story short because i'm hungry, he took me to the maintenance supervisor's office.  I met him, he sat me down, and offered me a maintenance job.  The rest is history.  The Lord does bless His children when the commandments are kept.  That's for sure.

Dance with Death....

It was the best of times it was the worst of times.  Many a double bubbles along our trek.  Whether it was just plain stupidity or it seemed as deliberate as chasing a one-up, we made our way.  Against all odds we arose victorious!  Mario Wii will go down in the history books of our legacy to be told for ages to come.  We feel that we have grown in leaps and bounds as a couple.  I would like to bare my testimony that...........  Alright ya get it I'm sure.  Good game, good times, and only a few broken bones.  World 9 HEEEEERE WEEEEEEEE COOOOOOOME.  It aint over 'til the fat bowser burns.
