Walk to Remember

Today is Sunday!
We all survived the first night at the cabin together.
Today is a perfect weather day here.
This afternoon we took a little walk together!
Here are some photos from the walk.

These four together.. crack me up!!!
I am not saying that they all get along wonderfully... but watching them together just makes me giggle!

Abe and Mom photo op...

And here I am with my boys... So very grateful to be a mom to the two and almost three children that we have been blessed with.  Love them too much!!!

We did not last long on the walk because of the bugs... but we were able to enjoy a little time out of the cabin together.

Cabin Trip

Today we left for the cabin.
My mom and I were with these four kiddos.
and my Dad drove with Hannah and Ellie.
It was a great drive up there.  We stopped in Ellsworth and had a nice picnic lunch.
Then kept driving until we were at the cabin!!!!

We all survived the three hour drive!

Once at the cabin all the kids put swimming suits on and we went swimming.
These littles will be fishes all two weeks.. guaranteed!

The first group shot of many....

FATHER'S DAY!!!!

Happy Father's day to this man!!!!
I am so very lucky to call him my husband and the father to our children.
He is everything and more than I wished for in a dad.
He genuinely loves our children.
He works really hard each day to provide a good life for them.
He loves to play around with them after work.
The kids flock to him whenever he is around.

So. So.So. lucky that he is ours!
We love you Alan.
Thank you for being the best Dad our kids could ever ask for!

Another excursion day

Today was kind of a dreary cold day.
So we loaded up and headed to Spooner.
Again did a little shopping and then tried some donuts at the bakery.
We also visited some thrift stores and ate lunch at Mcdonald's (halle and carson's choice).
Then we played at a park for a while and then headed for a train ride.

The train ride was interesting.. but it was a good experience to have.
Halle and Abel loved the ride out to the scenic overlook...
But on the way back Halle was tried of hearing the BEEEP of the horn.  The picture below explains it well!

After the train ride we stopped for a photo op. and then headed to Minong.
We tried to enjoy the Father's Fest... but when we showed up.. nothing was happening.
So we enjoyed a little dessert before dinner at the scoop.
It was YUMMY!!!

It was a great way to end our first vacation up at the cabin for the summer!

My view for nap time.
I got completely burned on Wednesday.
So today I put on the SPF and pretty much covered from head to toe with towels.. but hey!
the view is killer!!!!

Today I took time to listen to many different conference talks.
this was one:
https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2014/04/the-keys-and-authority-of-the-priesthood?lang=eng

This conference talk was all about the Priesthood and the authority and keys and how it pertains to woman.
I am grateful for the Priesthood.  I have never thought less of a person because I do not directly hold the Priesthood.  I know that  Priesthood keys direct women as well as men, and Priesthood orinances and Priesthood authority pertain to women as well as men.

This was another conference talk that I listened too:
https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2014/04/be-strong-and-of-a-good-courage?lang=eng

Let us -all of us- have the courage to defy the consensus, the courage to stand for principle.
I am not ashamed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I will make sure that I stand as a witness at all times, and in all things, and in all places.
I am proud to believe in my Savior Jesus Christ and in my Heavenly Father.  I will try my best to be a good example and teach my children this Gospel daily.

Good day today... helped me feel more spiritually grounded!

Day in Hayward

We spent today over in Hayward.
This morning we hung out at the cabin and enjoyed ourselves there.
After naps we loaded up and headed for a little excursion.
We dropped the men and kids off at the museum and then the ladies went and shopped around different thrift stores.
After shopping.. we headed to the candy store and stocked up on some goodies.
Then we wandered around for a little bit and then headed to Famous Dave's "The original" for dinner.
It was a great day spent with family!

welcome to the work force

Halle has been loving to play pretend lately.  Here she is playing pretend that she is going off the work.  She loves pretending that she is going to daddy's work.  She puts her hat on and grabs her lunch box and walks out the door to his van!  And then continues the same routine for a good 20-30 minutes.
Halle, you sure do make a cute dairy service technician!!!!

SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!!!

SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!!!!
All are excited for summer time especially this lady!!!
This was my third year working for MNVA and I was able to get tenured. YEA for me!
It was a hard year but very rewarding.
There are many wonderful people that have helped us throughout this school year to make it all possible.
I thank them with all my heart for serving me and also my family.
I also know that Heavenly Father played an essential part of my day to day life.
How grateful I am to know that he is there for me and for my family.

We are excited to start summer off right by heading up to the cabin next week.

my little helpers

I am hosting a shower tomorrow evening for my good friend Jill.. so tonight was clean up the house night!
I had some great little helpers.
They loved watching as the carpet cleaner change to clear and then helped me clean the dirty spots.
The cleaning night was a success with these two helpers.
