We started the morning off with a dance party... and it was a lot
of fun!!!
Then we headed over to Austin to spend the day. The weather
as perfect! We spent most of the morning outside playing with the
kitties, riding the 4 wheeler, jumping on the trampoline, and just walking
around. We then went inside for lunch. The food was great!
and the company was fantastic. We love being able to live so close
to family and have the opportunity to spend each holiday with our families..
there is really nothing better than that! After lunch it got real cold
outside.. like changed by 20-30 degrees.. so we ended up spending most of the
rest of the day inside. At the end of the day we hit to road for the cabin
to spend the rest of the weekend with my parents and grandpa. When we
started the drive it was just real cold. As we continued the drive sleet
started, snow started, and bad roads started. Needless to say it was a
long drive, but we made it there safely. The best part of the whole
experience is that once we got up to the cabin there was 6 inches of snow...
and I could not wait for Halle to play in it the following day! The next
day Alan went and got Halle some snow gear and she was off. She did need
assistance most of that day walking, but she did enjoy being outside and did
not get too made getting all the gear on. It was fun to see her all
bundled up!And she loves eating snow. The rest of the weekend was just
spent relaxing and enjoying not having to work. It was a perfect holiday
weekend.
