12 year check up

Today we went to Abe's 12 month doctors visit.

He had to get four different shot and DID NOT LIKE IT AT ALL...

it was actually quite sad to watch him go through that today. my heart was sad.. but it is needed.

He is still in the upper 90th percentile for all things. our big boy!

and at the check up today the Doc said that poor Abel is getting all four of his one year molars.

This now explains his attitude that he has had for the past couple weeks.

Then after getting home and being able to check out his mouth, this little dude has blood blisters where his molars are coming in... so sad.  my mouth hurts for him!

please. please. please. molars come in soon!

Abel's First Birthday Party!!!

We whooped it up for sure for Abe's first birthday!!!  We just invited family and some friends over to enjoy a pizza party.  It was the perfect amount of people and Abel had a pretty good time bumming around with his cousins for the evening.  Abel got a bunch of fun new toys and even a nice elmo chair.  He had a lot of different helpers to open up his presents, but he did not mind at all!

Sweet little Abel.  Thank you for this first year.  You have been a huge blessing in our life.  We love you and are so excited to be a part of your life as you continue to grow.

ONE YEAR OLD!!!!

I can hardly believe that our sweet Abel is one year old!!!

He is though.. and that year flew by!

Here are some thing that Abel has been doing this past month:

Getting WAY WAY WAY more curious

can climb down the stairs... finally!!!

takes two naps a day

the bathroom is his favorite place ever!

he loves the take baths

He is getting better at riding in the car

he loves touch and feel books

he has 8 teeth with four molars coming in.

He has started dancing, and it is hilarious

he makes himself laugh all the time!

Halle is his very  best friend!

He loves when dad comes home from work... and hates when he leaves:(

starting to say more words.. will parrot some words now.

is busy... busy.. busy.  If he is awake he is moving around.

He loves to carry around different balls and throw them

he loves to take the broom around the kitchen

he really likes taking away the "forbidden" toys from Halle.

He really is such a sweet sweet baby!

We love to too much Abel.  We have learned so much from you in this short year!

Please continue to amaze us as you grow up!

Fun outside on Christmas

The weather finally warmed up a little bit.  We all got dressed up and enjoyed some time playing outside!

Christmas Morning 2013

It was a perfect Christmas morning.  The kids really enjoyed the different gifts that they got!! They played with all the new toys all morning long.  So grateful that we are able to provide a Christmas for our kiddos!

BIG ICICLE

We have made it safely to the cabin to spend the first part of the winter break up here!  Alan was able to take the whole week off.  When we arrived last night we were surprised to see that there was at least 3 feet of snow on the ground. TONS OF SNOW!!!  Halle was begging for "Ice" all night.. so this morning Grandpa brought a big icicle in for the kidds to gnaw on for a while!

Alan and I have had great luck with getting free wonderful toys on the side of the road.

This little beautiful horse came from a dumpster from a home that was being foreclosed down the street.

Alan dumpster dived... and brought it home.

I shampooed the whole thing and it looked brand new.

We have had this horse for like a year or so and just put batteries in it....

AND... ABEL IS NOW IN LOVE!

He thinks it is pretty funny.

She lasted about 40 minutes and then wanted to come in.
