Halloween 2013

We started out the day like any other day.  Hung out around the house.  Halle and I craved one pumpkin. She got to draw all over it and then I just tried to make sense of the drawing and make a face...

Once the kids woke up from their naps we headed over to Grammie and Grandpas house.  We enjoyed some yummy pumpkin shaped pizza and then Halle, Abel, Alan, and Grandpa went trick or treating.  Everyone had to get all bundled up because it was REAL cold out.  Halle lasted longer than I expected and came home with some good loot!!

Halle loves to say this now whenever someone is at the door.... or whenever we go and knock on a door!

Fall Canrival and Trunk or Treat

This year I was asked again to head up our Ward fall carnival and trunk or treat.  It ended up being great!! It was perfect weather and we had a lot of people come out and enjoy the activity.  The activity started out with the carnival.  There was a lot of different games that took place inside the church.  Some of the games were ring toss, candy count, cookie walk, get the ghosts, tin can toss, penny toss, spider walk, and a haunted house.  After the games everyone headed outside and the trunk or treat started and people also enjoyed donuts and hot chocolate.  It really was a great activity and I was grateful that it all came together in the end!

So the story of the costume.

I asked Halle a couple weeks ago what she wanted to be for Halloween and she told me that she wanted to be Dorie. I thought to myself "hmmm.. i do not think that I will be able to buy one of those, I guess that I will have to create one."  So I got my moms mind on it and we came up with the costume.  I think it turned out pretty cute!!! and everyone seemed to think that it was pretty great!

10 MONTHS OLD

Our Abe is 10 months old.

Abel has been busy this month.

Abel is getting around very very well.

Abel has 8 teeth.. and getting more

He is a happy little guy.

Eating lots of different food, and does not like bread that much. BUT LOVE frozen blueberries.

Halle's first prayer

We have been asking Halle if she wants to prayer for A WHILE NOW... and finally at dinner tonight SHE DID!!!  It was so wonderful hearing Halle's little voice repeat the words from Alan.  And then when she finished saying the prayer she had the biggest smile on her face!!!

Birthday Party

Tonight we had our families over for his birthday dinner.  Alan requested hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans, and ice cream cake.  It was a good night and fun memories were made with family!  Grateful to live around our families!

Sekapp's Orchard

Today we went out to Sekapps orchard to get some pumpkins.  It was a perfect fall day.  We started out by selecting all the perfect pumpkins.  Then we went through the corn maze.  And we ended the fun day playing in the playground and running around.

6 years ago we became a forever family!

BEST DECISION EVER!!!

Our anniversary was on Sunday this year.. so we celebrated by going to Stake Conference and then just lounging around the house.... IT WAS PERFECT!

Alan made me drawers for our bed!!! and they are going to be GREAT!

and I made Alan a scrapbook of all our love letters from when we were dating and engaged.  It was fun to look back on the different things that we sent each other while we were living apart.

I cherish my relationship with Alan.  He really is my life.  My heart aches when he is not around. and I am overcome with joy when he is around.  I love him too much and I am so so so grateful that I get to spend eternity with him and our children!

One lucky lady I am!

conference weekend

It was a perfect conference weekend.
It was relaxing.
I learned ALOT.
I felt my Saviors Love.
I grew as a mother, daughter, sister, and wife.
I am so grateful that we have a living Prophet on the earth today.  I am grateful that we have apostles as well.  I am grateful for their personal witnesses and testimony in our Lord and Savior.
So. So. So. great to have this opportunity twice a year!

I am so very blessed to be Halle and Abel's mom.
There are some days that I forget about how grateful I am to experience this.
But today was one of those days... where I looked at Halle and Abel and was overcome with love.
I never knew or even comprehended the love that I would have for my children.
But today when I was looking at them...I was reminded of my Heavenly Father.  I was reminded of his gentle mercies.  I was reminded of what we went through to be come parents.  I was reminded of our Savior.  I was reminded of the love that our Heavenly Father has for me and everyone that is on the earth.
How grateful I am to experience this love for my children.  There is not anything in the world that I will not do for them.  Remember Halle and Abel.  Be Righteous.  Be Different.  Love the Lord.  Love each other.
