4 months along
I can hardly believe that 16 weeks have already passed. Next month will be the half way mark!!! CRAZY to think about. Today I went to a doctors appointment. It was good. I love being able to hear the heart beat. It brings tears to my eyes to know that you will be here in a few short months! Next month we get to find out if you are a boy or girl.. and we are beyond thrilled! Keep growing sweet little baby.

mid week visit
We went to Austin yesterday. It was a real hot day. We spent most of the day outside in the swimming pool. Halle tried to enjoy the cool pool, but was not quite in to it. Alan and Carson did really enjoy it though.
Alan and I are so grateful that we are able to live so close to family. Even though once school starts it will be harder to see Alan's family.. we are going to be living it up this summer!!! We are planning a vacation to take with Al's family in August! I think that we will have a blast together. Looking forward to many more days over in Austin and hanging out in the pool.

walking
Since being at the cabin... Halle has gotten real used to walking around a little more. She is now way more daring and will actually walk places all by herself! This little girl is growing up to fast!!!
13 months old
This sweet thing is 13 months old...
Crazy how fast time is flying by.
I love everyday that I wake up and get to be this girls mom.
She is the best thing that has happened to us.
She has taught me more in 13 months... then I learned in pretty much my whole life.
No appointment this month. SCORE!
But here are some things that Halle has been doing this past month.
WAY MORE EXPRESSIVE.
has temper tantrums...still can not believe it
hits her head on things when she is mad
walks around on her own... not full time yet but close
looks so accomplished when she is walking!
has all of her molars and getting her fang teeth.
still very talkative
yells loud
claps her hands in excitement
still loves food. grapes and fruits are her favorite.
likes to play with puppets
still loves to read books
loves bath time and really enjoyed being in the lake at the cabin
still loves the kitties
more clingy this month to mom and dad
likes walking and crawling on the grass more
laughs really hard at funny things
watches movies and laughs at funny parts
is starting to be a jokester
Halle... it is crazy to think that 13 months have already gone by. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

The recap
The first cabin vacation of the summer is over with and it was a success. We were all able to have a blast! Halle and I went up with my parents on wednesday and then Alan joined us on monday morning after he got done with work.
Wednesday: We just got up to the cabin and just kind of hung out.. did not do too much the first day.
Thursday: Went shopping in Spooner. Got a sweatshirt because I forgot one and got Halle a cute little t-shirt!
Friday: enjoyed the day at the beach. The weather was perfect. Friends from church came up with their family and we had a blast. Halle was just loving the water and sand. I was also able to catch some rays... and it felt so nice! We enjoyed fun company that day and we were all pretty worn out from the day in the sun.
Saturday: (a.k.a the longest day of my life) This was the start of the Walbruch family reunion. To start the festivities out there was a wedding of one of my cousins. Him and his bride were getting married in green lake, WI. It was four hours away from the cabin and hotels were too expensive so we decided that we would just drive back and forth that day. The wedding was at noon so we got in to the car in the morning and started our trek. It was a long drive... but we eventually made it. The wedding was at noon. It was kind of windy (but better that it was not to hot) and it was a very nice ceremony. Halle slept through it all and then came the waiting game. We had to wait to the reception to start at 2:30. Once the reception started then the dinner was not going to be served until 5:00pm. It was kind of a long, spaced out, drawn out event... but we kept with it. Lee and Vicki gave us a key to their room so that we were able to get away for a little bit until dinner started. Dinner was served. It was okay. The cake was decent and then we danced for a little bit. Then Halle was tired and it was time to start the drive home. He get in the car and Halle falls right to sleep... I thought to myself (this is going to be awesome) little did I know what was to happen in a little bit. Poor Halle just woke up screaming and crying... she was not feeling well at all. Then a while down the road Halle threw up all over herself and carseat. We had to pull over change clothes and clean up puke (I did not puke during any of this which was a miracle in itself) after puking Halle was feeling a lot better. It was a long ride back to the cabin that night but we survived. I am grateful that I was with people that were understanding and love me and Halle so much. Thank you mom and dad for being there to help me.
Sunday: nice relaxing day at the cabin and the Walbruch clan shows up for the fun adventures that we were going to have for the next couple days.
Monday: Alan shows up in the morning!!! YEAH YEAH YEAH. It was so hard to be there with out alan. I feel so alone when he is not around. It was so nice to see his face and give him a hug. The crew lef alan alone at home so that he could sleep and we all headed to Hayward. It was perfect! We went to the flea market... which was full of a lot of junk and then we went to the shops downtown. We visited a toy store and Halle got a new toy! We also went to the old candy shop and got the usual or gummies and malted milk balls. It was all good. Then we headed to the pizza shop and ate some good food! Then we headed back to the cabin and spent the rest of the day enjoying the water! It was a perfect monday!
Tuesday: It was a rainy day so we headed to Duluth. On our way up to Duluth we stopped at Amnicon Falls. It was really cool to see waterfalls up close and to know that it was not man made but made by nature.. totally cool.
Once we were done at the falls we kept traveling up to duluth. We went and walked around canal park and then went to a great italian restaurant for lunch. Then we headed home and waited out the rain. The next morning.. the places that we were in Duluth were completely under water!!! Duluth had flooded bad! The zoo got the worst of it and they lost a bunch of animals. Grateful we got out when we did!
Wednesday: Hung out around the cabin.
Thursday: Beautiful day to hang out at the lake.. so we did just that!
Friday: Headed home! It was a great first trip up the cabin for the 2012 summer season.
There were so many great memories made! I am so grateful that we have such a fun getaway. Thank you Mom and Dad for a great vacation! We had a blast.

Happy Father's Day!!!
Even though we are not together this father's day... WE LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING ALAN!!!
Halle and I gave Alan a little present before we left. We was a two different kinds of trail mix that he loves and a note that said, " We both go "NUTS" over you!!!" Happy Fathers Day Al!! You really are the best dad and husband we could ask for. We love you! Love Brittney, Halle, and baby!
Alan really is the greatest father ever. He is so kind and patient. He is so loving and caring towards Halle. He plays all sorts of fun games with her all the time. He can make her laugh like nobody can make her laugh. Halle really does love him so much and I am so grateful that I was able to find an amazing man to be the father to our children.. We are so blessed.
Also a shot out to the other father's in my life. They are blessed and I am so grateful for them. I love you more than life! Thank you for your tender examples and the love that you have shared with me! I am so grateful for it.
