Christmas Tradition...

our testimonies from this year...

Brittney’s Testimony
12/25/2014
What a year this has been.  Lots of growing and learning.  I know Heavenly Father is real.  I know that he is our Father.  I know that he loves me.  I know that He will always want what is best for me.  I know that He is mindful of my life and the needs and desires that I have or want.  I know that he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to earth.  I can only imagine the pain Heavenly Father felt for Jesus as he watched him suffer through different trials.  Jesus Christ is our Savior.  He still lives.  He loves us.  He is always here for us.  He wants what is best for us.  I know that miracles happen.  Noah Spencer Blake is one miracle that we received this year.  He joined our family on August 8th, 2014.  He is sweet.  He is innocent.  He is a child of God.  Another miracle was Alan’s job.  Heavenly Father put a different job prospect in Alan’s path this year.  Alan took the new job and we have been beyond blessed for this decision.  From this past year the main thing that I have learned is that Heavenly Father knows our individual needs.  He also wants what is best for us.  He is here to bless and help us because he loves us unconditionally.  Heavenly Father is good.  It is important to seek him daily and listen to him.  By doing so we will be blessed.  Out family of five continues to be blessed daily by keeping the commandments and listening to the spirit.  I am excited to see what 2015 will bring.

In the year…2014?? I have an eternal companion, a beautiful daughter, a strapping boy, and a cuddle/love bug baby boy?  If I would’ve imagined this a decade ago I’m not sure I would have believed it!  I never thought life could become so blessed and so sweet.  I know with all my heart that everything good that I have, past/present/future, was given by my Heavenly Father.  I know that he knows me and knew how I would do best.  It’s no secret that I have been blessed immensely! “with blessing unmeasured, my cup runneth o’er” in the words of the hymn.  To my sweet, beloved wife.  I love you. I could shout it from the roof tops!  I’m so grateful we love each other enough to grow and focus on an eternity as one.  Each year with you is the best year of my life.  Thank you for working with me on this, our forever family.  I love you.  To my sweet daughter Halle (womby).  I love you.  You made me a father, only one child get to do that for parents and I would not have any other to take that place, your place in my heart.  Your heart and mind are like a night of fireworks.  Illuminating who you are and I never expect or know which one will be next. To my thoughtful, loving, energetic, soldier of a boy Abel (Mr. Mcdouble).  I love you.  You were the first to make me a father to a son.  I am filled with joy when I think about it all from our first father and sons outing to any and all other priesthood advances you have the opportunity to partake in.  Your soul is steel, your strength of a cock and your heart of gold are all key attributes that make you, YOU.  Blessed, so blessed are your mom and I, to have you. To our youngest treasure (for know). My peaceful, cheerful, steadfast son Noah.  When you were born, the first thought in my mind was “you will be a guardian to this family.”  Now, you have a lot of growing to do.  Don’t let this over take you.  Let love and charity be your strengths.  Search out all that is good and right.  You are my cheerful one, my peacemaker.  Welcome to our family!  I know that my Redeemer, Jesus Christ lives.  This is His work that we do every day.  I know that by living the Gospel to our best ability we can do great things.  Even fulfill our mission hat Heavenly Father has fore ordained us to do.  I know that Christ will come again and we can life in joy and peace forever.
Abel beats to his OWN kind of drum...
and man do we love him for it!
