new hiding spot

Halle is really starting to enjoy playing hide and seek.. she really does not stay hidden for very long, but it is fun to watch her be creative with her different hiding spot.

This was how we all felt after the long day yesterday.  Going to the temple and then staying for the baptism.

Halle was not to impressed... but impressed us with a 45 minute temper tantrum (mostly because there was not nap today) but needless to say it was impressive.

And here Al is doing it all.. while I figure out something to have for dinner... or just call and have pizza delivered!

Halle really decorated/illustrated some of her books in her room.

I was just grateful that she did not get any furniture or the carpet!!!

Also today we were able to attend the temple.  It was a beautiful session.  Alan and I were able to do sealings for those who have passed.  The spirit was so strong in the room.  It was almost as if you could feel that people rejoicing at the fact that their families are finally sealed together forever.  

I love the temple.  I love the work that goes on there.  It is so great!

We also got to attend my cousin's, James Walbruch's, baptism.  This would be the 4th Walbruch to be baptized in to the church.  The spirit was also very strong at the baptism.  It was so great to see James make this choice in his life.  I am beyond grateful for the Gospel in my life.  It has changed my life only for the better.  And when I keep the covenants that I have made and the commandments I have a very happy life.

Fridays with Grandpa

My Dad has offered up his entertainment for Halle on Friday's when I need him.  Today, when I told Halle, that Grandpa was on his way over... this is what she did...

I just love the sock on the hand.. This girl cracks me up on a daily basis!!!  Once Grandpa came over she was already undressed and ready to just have some fun inside!!!  Thank you Grandpa for coming over on Friday mornings... we love having you!

make lemonade!

I read this article today and I was reminded of how grateful I am for free agency.  How grateful I am for the ability to choose.  I just want to always remember to choose to make lemonade when given lemons.  Life is not easy.. it is not supposed to be easy, but we choose our attitude each and every day.  I always want to make sure that I am choosing to have a good attitude.  An attitude of gratitude... no matter what our circumstances are.. things can always be a lot worse.

Being a Big Sister

I honestly think that Halle just loves being a big sister.  She just loves hugging, kissing, and being around Abel.  Lately for breakfast this is the scene at the Blake House:

Halle loves sitting right next to Abe and eating her breakfast.  I am so grateful that Halle has be so sweet to him... because i know that it could have been a lot worse!
