I'M SO HAPPY....I'M SO HAPPY... THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE...

I GOT A JOB!!!

I had an interview with Austin Public School yesterday morning and I got a call that night from the assistant principal offering me a job at the High School.  I will be a special education teacher in a mild/moderate classroom.  And the best part is that my classroom has a SMARTBOARD!

I am excited and I accepted!

Al Graduates!

Thats right!! We are now both college graduates!! Alan graduated on Thursday May 13, 2010 at the RCTC sports center.  It was a nice, long ceremony, but we were both glad that he walked!  We feel blessed that Alan has finished his education, thus far, and that he has a job!

An Ode to the mothers/women in my life...

How eternally grateful I am for the mother's/women that I have in my life....

Starting with my mother.

She is smart, beautiful, loyal, faithful, creative, hard working, grateful, spirit filled, obedient, loving.
She is always there for me.  She really is my best friend.  I love her with all my heart.
I am grateful to have her example in my life.

My mother-in-law

She is quick witted, obedient, faithful, hard working, loving, caring, grateful, beautiful
She raised an amazing man who is now my husband.  Thank you and I love you!
I am grateful to have her example in my life

I am grateful for all the wonderful examples of good mothers/women I have in my life including my grandmothers, my aunts, my cousins, my sister-in-laws, and my friends.

Thank you... your examples  help me become a better woman.

Keeping my head up!

Well.... I did not receive the job from Byron Elementary.
Which I think is THEIR LOSS!!haha
They pretty much told me that being in a young team and then adding an even younger teacher would be hard for them.
I was sad for a little bit..

But then I remember that everything happens for a reason.  Heavenly Father has bigger and better plans for me at this time and that is okay.

On the heads up... I got an interview with Austin Public Schools next friday!!  WAHOO!

SMILES  ARE ON THE FACES OF THE BLAKE FAMILY THIS EVENING...

Alan got his class 2A boilers license which he has been working towards his whole college career.

And I had an amazing interview with Byron Elementary today.  I will be hearing by this weekend if I got the job!

We feel so blessed by our Heavenly Father.  He really does watch over his children and does the best thing at the best time for each of his children.  We love him and the fact that he is watching over our lives.

fingers crossed

This can really be a stressful time for teachers.
It is the end of the school year...
The kids are starting to be the most obnoxious they have been all year...
You are tired of teaching..
The weather is so nice outside...
You just want it to be summer...
oh... and you are totally stressed with trying to find a job for next year

This week I have something to help carry me through. I have 2 interviews.
One on Wednesday and one on Thursday.

Wednesday is with the GIP program here in Rochester
Thursday is with Byron Elementary.

I am crossing my fingers for Thursday!
